What else do I need to bolt this puppy together

OK, here's the scoop. I have a ton of parts sitting in my garage waiting to go together. What I need is a watchful eye to let me know what else I may need so I don't have to pay Summit's handling charge more than once more. Here's what I have: Fully forged shortblock, assembled AFR 185s with...

Hey Paul, thanks for the info. My car is silver and I want to keep that color. I don't really have the cash to paint the whole car at the moment, so I really just want to try and blend it in as best as possible for now. Fiberglass hood came with a glossy black finish and the front clip has some...

    Lifters for my 331

Thanks Rick, those are the ones I was looking at. I didn't know if I needed the rolling lifters or just the $100 hydraulic lifters. Thanks for the info everyone. On a sidenote, I finally got around to installing your torque box reinforcements Rick, all I can say is :nice:

    Lifters for my 331

Do I need hydraulic roller lifters or just roller lifters? What factors decide which of the two that you need? I really don't know anything about these parts, so any help would be great.

    Roller lifters and the "dogbone"

Nope, its a roller block, already has the two holes drilled in the top of the block and whatnot. I have just never torn down or built an engine before and wondered what I need to hold my lifters in place. I'm assuming either of those parts I linked to would work?

    Roller lifters and the "dogbone"

Well the block in my garage doesnt have that so I assume I need it then? Since that one appears to be on back order, would this also work? http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=mustang+302+roller+lifter&x=0&y=0&searchinresults=false&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&N=115&target=egnsearch.asp

    Roller lifters and the "dogbone"

I have always heard the bracing that keeps the roller lifters in place referred to as a dogbone or whatnot. Is this in fact what I need? http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=mustang+302+roller+lifter&x=0&y=0&searchinresults=false&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&N=115&target=egnsearch.asp...

Fuel Pump Orlando guys come in.

Best way to get it off is with an oil filter removal tool. The ones that are shaped like giant pliars, you know what I mean, work like a charm.

Fuel Pump Orlando guys come in.

Yep, ideally if you can get it to start one last time, we could do it in my garage where I have many fun and air powered tools, not that we really would need them in this case.

Fuel Pump Orlando guys come in.

If you have to move the car in a pinch, if you knock a few times on the top of the fuel pump assembly, basically where the plastic ring tightens, with a screwdriver or something, it sometimes kicks on. At least in my experience it did. If you don't find someone to help you by Thurs, I can help...

Problems in my rear (of the car)

Hey all, Got the new 31-spline axles, posi, UCA, LCA's installed today - which was way more expensive than I anticipated and when I went to drive it home it had a few wierd problems. I left the car there for them to look at but I thought I get a few opinions from you guys too. These are the...
