    Battery Relocation

Yes, 4 gauge will be adequate for a battery relocation. Be sure that both your power AND your ground are 4 gauge minimum, and that your ground cable is securely fastened to the body of the car.

    harmonic balancer

Pre-1981 302 rotating assemblies use the 28.8oz imbalance, after 1980 they switched to the 50oz imbalance for the 302. I recently found this out the hard way. If your rotating assembly is a 1984 (E4 part number) then it uses the 50oz imbalance. Check for a stamping on the side of your factory...

    Hydraulic Clutch Setup

Hey guys, I tried searching the forums, and only got posts from guys who were TRYING to set up a hydraulic clutch. Anybody got one to work, or know where to find a kit? I'm working on a 90 vert with an 84 302 and an 86 T-5. My headers aren't exactly allowing clearance for my clutch...

    Bypass clutch safety switch?

haha, good call on the fuse. You wouldn't happen to have a schematic of the clutch pedal safety switch wiring would you? It would save me a little time, since I'm completely re-doing my entire electrical system!

    Fuel tank sump questions

I'm only running a carb, but I actually gutted my factory fuel pump and turned that into my pickup. Looks like stock, but no fuel pressure from the tank, next I gotta buy my external electric fuel pump. -KB

    fox lean?

lol, I'm sure this is no help to you guys, but I've been reading the threads on this for a long time, and thought my project car had the same problem... One day I switched the left rear tire to the front on accident, and noticed the lean went away! Booo bad tire! Gotta love the simple things...

    electrical questions

Thanks! that's what I figured they were for. I just have standard crap seats, so they were in fact just unplugged under the seat. Anybody have any ideas on the random module?

    electrical questions

figured it'd be easier to ask what this is than look it up, anybody got any ideas? Also, did these cars come with power seats as an option? I've got a two prong connector under each seat that wasn't plugged in to anything (that I can remember). You can see it on the pass side labled "1B"...

Final help for the center crash sensor and hatch light...

I think I remember the info you need: center crash sensor and pass side front crash sensor joined into a common harness near the pass shock tower, the plug is behind the airbox in this picture I believe. If you look at the picture, the wire loom directly to the left of the airbox in this...

    FYI: Power mirror troubleshoot

Figured I'd pass on some info I found out, in case it's a common problem. Symptom: power passenger mirror not working correctly (if I remember, it would only go "down" if it moved at all! it's been a while) Cause: Broken wire inside of door During my re-wiring job, I...

How does the ac evaporator come out of the dash unit??? lol

I had the same problem when I had my dash apart, I decided to leave the damn thing in there and simply cut the extruding metal tubes off inside the box with a dremel and sealed the box with a piece of ABS plastic. Of course I'm deleting the A/C, and you want it to work, so don't do what I did...

How easy is it to disconnect/make inoperative bulb for airbag light?

FYI: If you wish to completely get rid of this problem, remove the airbag light (may or may not be required, but I did it first and found the buzzer problem ;) ) To get rid of the buzzer, and make the airbags completely inoperable, remove the radio, and there is a black box screwed into the...

    What's going on with memory?

If it only happens when you start the car, it sounds like you have no constant power, and you have an accessory wire instead of ignition wire hooked to the radio. The accessory wire from the main harness cuts power during cranking. -KB

4 lug wheel spacers? Just want my front welds to stick out a bit more....

You're correct, I didn't realize he was no longer running the factory wheels. The reasoning behind wheel offset/backspacing is to keep the center of the wheel when looking at it from the front in the same position as the factory wheels. The suspension was designed around the track width...

    fuel pressure regulator question

Now to slightly hijack the thread... quote: "Either go full EFI or use a tank/fuel pump/fuel lines out of an 84 or earlier Stang." On my swap I plan on using new fuel lines, but haven't decided on the pump setup. Did the 84 or earlier stangs use a mechanical, or do they have a carb...

4 lug wheel spacers? Just want my front welds to stick out a bit more....

Um, apparently nobody else is noticed this, so I might as well throw it out there... You can do as you like, it is your car, but using a spacer will change the offset of your wheels, which is never a good idea. Your entire suspension is designed around a certain track width (middle of one wheel...

    Power steering interchangeability

Guys, while sitting there looking at the motor that came out of my car (2.3ltr) I began to wonder about something... My current plan is to build the 302 I have, and steal the entire front end off of a junkyard car...I was thinking cougar with a 302. This would give me all the necessary...

    A/C Evaporator Core

On mine, the top half and the bottom half seem to be glued together, with fairly tough glue I might add... I think I'm just gonna leave it in there unless somebody's got some insight into something I'm missing...
