    53000 miles on first set of brake pads?

    I have a 2000 E320 that we just finally changed out the front pads on, went 60K miles. Also, very little rotor wear. Of course my wife drives it pretty slowly compared to how I drive. If you drive easy, totally ok.

    Yes, I have read the same thing on articles where they did actual testing in labs. Of course it can get too dirty then go the other way.

    As it says, thinking of changing to the shorty 14" antenna, but don't want to sacrafice radio quality. I don't use sat. radio, just plain old am and fm and CDs and live in rural area. Anyway, anybody install these and did you sacrifice sound quality or signal strength?

    Why are our 4.6 engines called modular? Ok so they have an overhead cam, so do others (some dual cams) that aren't called modular.

    Stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. What's even stupidier is that a dealership would actually tell someone that. If it was designed that way, Ford ought to go bankrupt. Mine sits without problems for weeks a time.

    As we now know it's plastic and not some type of metal, can you still do that? Maybe I'll just sand and paint it flat black. I don't want an obvious hole by just removing it.
