As it says, thinking of changing to the shorty 14" antenna, but don't want to sacrafice radio quality. I don't use sat. radio, just plain old am and fm and CDs and live in rural area. Anyway, anybody install these and did you sacrifice sound quality or signal strength?

I live in a city, and I lost some radio stations with weaker signals and the range is reduced with the 8".

Regardless of the reception it looks a hell of alot better than stock. I have an 8 inch and lost some of the weaker stations but thats why god made the ipod.:D

+1!
Mine is the 8" and it makes the longer distance stations tough to get, but I love the look and have iPod as well:nice:
The 14" should give you the best of both worlds...looks and reception.

It really depends on your surroundings. If you live in a relativly flat area probably won't notice much of a difference. Live in a hilly or mountain area you might lose quite a bit of quality.
This brings back some good memories of college electronics.
