    it says 91 on one corner and I think S on the other corner of the heads. I am assuming my old heads were stock and I got the stock plugs and they fit into my old heads so something is wrond with these new heads

    its actually gloss black. I figured out how to get the seal out yesterday. It was pretty difficult to get the new one in but i used teh 2x4 idea and it worked pretty good.

    Why would you pull the pushrods unless its a solid cam, the lifters will bleed off and all the valves will be closed anyways? Just spray some oil on it and bag it up.

    here is a pic of mine. just got it painted yesterday. Hopefully i will have the motor in by tomorrow. Jsut have a few more accessories to clean and paint. Also is there a special tool to take off the round seal/gasket on the timing chain cover??

    yea it was a percentage off. and I think i was actually going 70 when it said 90. Does this mean it is the rear end gears and not the speed gears??

    could this effect why my speedometer is off by 20mph? it is hard to see but that wire is burnt and melted from the exhaust pipe. Is that even the speedo wire?

    Is there someway to check the speedo gear in the tranny while the engine is out? I have the engine out right now and I plan on putting it back in tomorrow but if its easier to check the gear with it out I want to do that.

    Im getting my new engine this weekend and I want to make sure the computer will work with it. The previous owner who installed teh computer had a crane cam in it and had converted it to mass air. Now my new engine will have the mass air but not the cam. Will it still work?
