    Budget 7500 RPM 302

I am thinking that if I got good deals on a used block, heads, everything really and shopped around, I think I could spend about 5-7K for a motor like this. Is that too cheap? How hard is it to find Boss 302 blocks? It seems all the Anderson Motorsports guys are running some variant of that...

    Budget 7500 RPM 302

That is exactly what I am looking for. I want to use as much stock as I can, but I know that it wont breathe past 6K stock so I know airflow is an issue. That is why I mentioned ported heads and the like. I want a high breathing NA motor and I remember seeing Anderson's 302 pulling past 8K no...

    Budget 7500 RPM 302

Now that is what I am talking about. So it can be done. Are you using EFI or carb?

    Budget 7500 RPM 302

Can anyone tell me what I would have to do to make a stock 302 turn 7500 RPMs and quit making power at 7000 RPM? This will be my goal and I want to prove to my friends that it can be done and for relatively cheap. I was looking at Thumper's Heads and if those are useful, I would love to use...

    96-98 Cobra

Ok folks, I have been looking at Mustangs forever and I think that I should go ahead and spring for a 96-98 Cobra. Should be a lot faster than a GT, possibly more reliable, need less mods to go as fast as I desire (not crazy at all), and the thing will look the way I want it too. What are...

highest mileage on a four cam Cobra??

Roger that. I was just going to ask about that. I am considering purchasing a 96 cobra with 112K and I was wondering how strong these motors are. Are there tell tale signs that an engine has been abused? Where could i send the oil to have in analyised? Thanks, Paul

    96 GT Mileage and Prices

Thanks for all the replys folks. I just need to see how my job turns out over the next few weeks and make sure I get good use out of my car on my trip to San Diego and back (hauling the last of my things back to TN). Then there is next to nothing stoping me. Insurance will be more expensive...

    96 GT Mileage and Prices

Black Cobra, I would say so but I have no real opinion. If the car is in great condition, I would get the intake, I think they are about 250 bucks, and replace it and try to sell it for 5 grand. That is what I would do.0 1992, I think I am gonna go that route too. A friend of mine has...

    96 GT Mileage and Prices

Sweet guys, I really appreciate it. I am still hung up on which way to go. How much more reliable has the 4.6 been compared to the 5.0 is basically the question I am asking. Thanks, Paul

    96 GT Mileage and Prices

Ok, so I have noticed that everyone on the planet is selling their Mustangs for way more than KBB. I just went to AutoTrader and found a few 96 GTs for $5500 and less. I even found one for $3500 but it had 197K on the odo. What kind of mileage should I look for on a car that price range? How...

    4.6L transplanted into a Shelby Cobra 427 S/C

I can't believe no one has suggested with turning it into a 289. Those 289s can make a bunch of power and rev to 9,000 RPM and be more fun rowing trough the gears. In a car like that, it would make more sense to have a smaller motor with more RPM potential. I know that you can get a 351 to...

200hp shot of nitrous on stock engine?

If you run that heavy of a shot, aren't you supposed to retard the timing a helluva lot? Paul

    1990 GT Advice

Very good point and I have thought about that too. He said that he hasn't had time to tear down the old motor, but he is pretty sure that the oil pump failed. I don't know how likely the story that is but I think it might be worth the chance. Convince me otherwise. Paul
