    After calculation the overlap on lots of different cams I;m wondering now if my stang is gonna even idle at all, guess that's where the tune will come in~ 64* seems a bit too high. jive am I looking at the right specs for the 292's...

    oh btw i ended up using a 3/8" tap on the water neck. I actually bought a new water neck just in case I screwed up the stock one when i tapped it for the sending unit. but i didnt need it.

    it is pretty easy to use a tap and make a spot on the rear of the water neck that the sending unit will fit in. I had never tapped anything well there a keg once, and well anyway it was a piece of cake. then just run the sening wire any way you would like.

    7 angle valve job, with oversized (1mm over stock) stainless valves, and the heads are being ported stg 3 type port job. They replacing all the parts that wear out over time adding bronze guides, and new springs (comp), chains, etc. and anything else that looks as if it needs replacing.

    as far as the "exact" specs on the duration, i'm being the told that the total duration is 292.

    i just calculated what the overlap should be on cams I am having installed i come up with 64* overlap using [(int + ext duration/4) - LSA x 2] for cams with 531* int/ext, total duration 292, lobe separation is 114. I think this might be off? Are these cam specs going to cause a rough idle...

    Gauge installation question

    I have been trying to figure out how to run the sende wires from the engine bay to the gauge pod. I am installing a oil presure and water temp gauge. I cannot find an easy way to run these wires through the fire wall. Any suggestions... Thanks alot
