    i wouldn't go lower than a set of 373's. I have stock gears so I know what you mean by the long ass gears. i can put up with the stock gears because im just keeping my cobra in stock form.

    the 351 block will give you a good starting number over the 302's. I would personally build up the 302 just to save some weight. it all depends what you're looking for really. that 351 will have some serious torque and will roast tires pretty easily so it may be harder to get that power down...
