How fast was my 1991 gt vs. my 01 cobra convert?

Hey everyone, I know that the 1991 mustang gt had a stock horsepower of 225 give or take. I had a set of 373's, mac shorty headers, cai, e303 cam, mac o/r prochamer, and flowmaster mufflers. It was a 5spd with 80k miles and ran fine. I relocated the battery to the back and took out the jack and donut to shave some pounds. I just wanted to know how a race would go between that and my stock 01 cobra convert. with 320 horses. I know that the cobra is faster but how much faster. I figured the cobra weights more than the foxbody gt coupe so some of the horsepower difference could be evened out. just wondering what everyone else things.

Providing you ran an equally skilled (or unskilled) driver, you'll jump on him in the first 660ft, give him a good run for the next 1/8 of a mile, but after that its all 4.6L DOHC 32V, all the way to the finish line.

Don't know crap about the '01, honestly. I think that it's likely to be a mid-high 13 second, car.

So Full exhaust, CAI, and a cam for the GT. Given the mods, the GT could have been in the high 13s on street tires, but could have been in the 14s, too. With sticky tires, it'd be a damn good race. I concur with gear-banger. The 5.0's lower torque and higher gears should help it off the line, but it's gonna get run down eventually. It could make for an interesting finish in the 1/4. I'm guessing 97-100mph trap speed for it. The Cobra, probably a few mph higher than that.

I do love a good bench-race.
