    pcv valve replacement...

    There is supposed to be a rubber grommet in the hole. Wire mesh on the bottom, PCV on top. Not sure, but the local parts store should have it. The wire mesh is supposed to be replaced periodically also, but it can be a pain to get out sometimes.

Checked mine and sure enough, it was not connected after the engine build. It bolts to the back of the head on the drivers...

    I believe it is a T-27 tamper proof torx bit....you can get it at NAPA. Also, the part was about $12 from Ford. Just replaced mine two weeks ago.

    Yup, what ss93cobra said. Lower right side of steering column, close to the dash. The part is about $12 from Ford. you will also need a tamper proof torx bit (T-27 I think). You can get it at NAPA etc. There was a recall on these switches, but I don't know if it went back as far as 87.

    Sounds like the ignition switch needs to be replaced. There was a recall on these switches, so have your local Ford dealer check your VIN. If it hasn't been replaced under the recall, they will do it free. If they won't do it, the part is only like $12 from the Ford dealer. You can change it out...

    Just bought a '90 notch. I noticed that it has two pairs of the salt and pepper shakers behind the upper intake. Any idea why there would be two?? I know there was a recall/service bulletin, but I have never seen a second pair added. :shrug:

Lately on cold start, I get very minor fluctuations, around 50 RPM if I had to guess. If I drive for 30 minutes or so, then shut it off and restart it 15 minutes...
