    Drag car on a trailer not street legal. I made 80 passes this year. Plus warming it up around the pits. Roughly 160 miles plus a lot of idling.

    ... Yeah, I dont want a blower. I would rather stick with the base N/A 302 setup that I'm used to. It's very low maintenance. Looking to stay in the 11.5 range. Below 10.99 is the point where all the safety and sfi requirements kick in. I'll definitely document progress, if any lol!!! Thanks!

    That sounds like a good set up. I want to stay with the set up I had mentioned. Keep it simple, naturally aspirated. Run in the 11's.

    I would like to get a 2 step for racing. I was looking at the MSD6-AL-2. A fellow racer / mechanic said to me long ago that it puts stress on the crank. I also saw somewhere that it's not good for the stock Fox Body Mustang crank and other engine related parts? Does anyone know anything on this...

    This may help anyone changing their water pump. After the install I had no leaks. Great! The next day, there was some fluid under the car. The weather was warm when I installed it, and then it got colder like It does around here. I retorqued the bolts and they were loose. No leaks!!!

    I was back and forth on that. But once I had it out, I could feel the crack. Zoom in. There is a crack starting below it too. I don't know. It just doesn't seem right.

    I was going to buy the Tuff Stuff Hi-Flow Pump. But I didn't want to wait the shipping time. That will be my next one if this one fails. Here's a better pic now that the pump is out of the car.

    I got a Napa HD pump coming tomorrow. All new hoses and coolant too. Heard some good things about their pumps. It's a crap shoot when you buy. I could have ordered a Motorcraft but, I guess it's made in China. Won't make the track this Saturday, but maybe the next final 2.
