Is a 2-step Rev. Limiter bad for the stock crank?

I would like to get a 2 step for racing.
I was looking at the MSD6-AL-2.
A fellow racer / mechanic said to me long ago that it puts stress on the crank.
I also saw somewhere that it's not good for the stock Fox Body Mustang crank and other engine related parts?
Does anyone know anything on this?
Thanks!

The crank doesn't care.

That OEM cast crank in a stout block with good mains is good to 750 ish+.

It's the [block] that is most susceptible to drivetrain shocks.

How many crank failures have you heard about where a 2 bolt block was involved and not [also] wiped out?

In all the years I've been doing this, I have heard of only one.

So, it's the block that I have to worry about, not the crank, right?

A 2-step works by cutting either fuel or spark from random cylinders to keep rpm's in check.
I don't know how cutting load from cylinders to limit rpm can cause any kind of damage.
The engine would have to have a previous underlying condition to even potentially be a concern.
