You're doing an engine swap!!!... get to know your local parts dealer well. I can't tell you how many times I walked into my local dealer and said "here's what I'm trying to do" before I knew it there were three or four guys coming up with solutions to my problem. After a while it felt like...

Congratulations Mike! Yor car was definitely an inspiration to me. I'm glad someone is finally taking notice. How exactly does one pronounce "Huzzah"?

Nine days left until Power Tour!

I believe we are in Englishtown on the 9th and 10th. If you are in the area come on by. There should be upwards of 2000 cars there. This is a huge event. Superchips is putting on a brunch for the entire group on Sunday morning. I've been watching them set up for days! 69 Clark, if you...

Nine days left until Power Tour!

Is anyone on the Forum attending? I still have 10 days worth of work on the car before I am ready so it looks like I'll be burning the midnight oil. Luckily I live just down the road from the starting point of this year's tour so I will be able to use every last minute.

    Help me with header clearance!

I'd prefer to keep the long tubes but if I don't find a way to keep them off the ground I may end up with shorties one way or another!

    Help me with header clearance!

I have Kooks L/T headers which, when the car is empty, give me exactly 2 inches of clearance to the ground. They hit whenever I encounter a bump in the road. I have Eibach pro springs on the car which look great but do not help in the clearance department. My struts are old and I would...

    Brake help, PLEASE!!!!!

I'm working the same problem. I swapped out my OEM booster for a 7 inch dual diphragm booster because of clearance problems with the new engine. To make a three day search short, here's what I found. The plunger on my booster was making minimal contact with the piston on the Master...

Gauge Cluster in! Links to pics

If there is interest in a write up I will certainly do one. The cluster is not from Florida 5.0. Basically I took the original cluster, removed all of the lights and gauges from the back, cut out the back of the white gauge housing, laid out and cut new holes for the gauges in the face...

Gauge Cluster in! Links to pics

A speedometer is only good for one thing... keeping it legal and within the posted speed limit. Anything beyond say 80 mph and all I'm watching is the tach! :D

    It can get depressing...

I feel your pain! I am finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel on my project. All I can offer is this... you will have days of great success and days of miserable failure. Know when to call it quits and get a good nights rest. This will help you get the results you want. Also keep a...

Help me find a power source

I need someone to tell me where to find a hot in run, hot in start power source either in the power block or in the dash area. The wire I was using to power the on / off switch on my MSD box ran through the instrument cluster and when I removed the cluster the power wire went South. You would...

    stock gauge panel question......

I'm finishing up my gauge cluster now. Pics in a few days. The lights can be retained but... The 3 5/8 speedo and tach will have to spaced away from the plastic gauge face (toward the driver) because they are too deep. I am not using any of the warning lights or turn signals so I cut the...

    Help???

I just solved a problem similar to that when I put the new engine in. Seems that I forgot to put in a plug in the stock oil dipstick hole in the block and oil was spurting out onto my #2 header pipe under high revs. Check your dipstick connection at the block. See my rant here...

    Important Brake System Discussion..

A/N fittings are derived from the military. The A/N actually stands for Army / Navy and these fittings were designed with close tolerances so no thread sealant would be required when assembling them. They are all aluminum and have their own sizes expressed in numerical order. Think of 1 A/N...
