    Will 4:10s mess up a stock T5 ?

Get them!! I have both the T-5 and 4.10s in my car (which weighs quite a bit more than a Fox Mustang) and they've both held up to numerous runs at the track and some "spirited" driving around town. Don't fear the gear!! :nice:

Great Article: 1990 Mustang LX vs. 1990 Camaro RS

Stock or modified? A friend of mine had one modified (as much as you can do to a TBI) and it ran a 15.5 @ 90. And I just realized that the car in the article was a 5 speed. Oops. So yeah, that 16.1 IS a little high. My bad. lol

Great Article: 1990 Mustang LX vs. 1990 Camaro RS

That's actually a decent ET for a TBI powered F Body. MPH seems a little optimistic, though. I should know, I owned one of those and got my ass handed to me in most everything out on the street. Sure did sound mean, though. lol

Sounds like you might have a pulley out of whack? Can you see any noticeable difference between them when the car is running?

What are everyone's thoughts on Explorer intakes?

Grover - that's what I'm kinda getting at - running the Explorer lower with either a GT 40 or Cobra upper. As it is now, it's an upper and lower Explorer set up.

What are everyone's thoughts on Explorer intakes?

I currently have a ported Explorer intake on the car. The upper was ported for a 70mm TB (I'm running a 65mm), and the lower's been ported to a Fel-Pro 1250. Now a friend of mine brought this up to me the other day... Seeing as how Explorers are made for low-end grunt, do you think this...

Oil fill tube to throttle body line question..

When removing the baffle inside the valve cover for roller rocker clearance, do you need to cap off both sides of that line, or is it ok to leave it hooked up? I ask because I was replacing gaskets over the weekend (stock lower intake gaskets and EGR spacer gasket) and noticed some oil on the...

How much would this hurt performance?

stang - looks like that's what I'm gonna have to do now. Of course Auto Zone didn't have the gasket I was looking for when I got there (shocker!). So, I picked up another set of stock gaskets and I'll try enlarging the holes some. I'm really curious how much of a difference this is gonna...

How much would this hurt performance?

5spd - The motor's already done. I'm helping a friend swap a new motor into his LSC tomorrow morning and it'll be at a shop. I don't usually have much time, and tomorrow's my best bet. Besides, it isn't any fun doing this stuff in front of my apartment, in the street. lol

How much would this hurt performance?

Ok, so when we put the motor in the car, my dumbass thought that Fel-Pro 1250 intake gaskets were readily available. Boy was I wrong. With that said, both the lower intake and heads are ported to that gasket. We had no choice but to use stock-sized gaskets to get the motor done. Also, the...

FRESHLY CONVERTED MASS AIR DYING QUESTIONS...

Yes the idle should change when you unplug it. Yes it's possible to get codes without a check engine light present - you can do it with a test light or analog volt meter. I don't have the link here at work, but I'm sure someone here has it. Did you make sure to pull the vacuum line off of...
