    Minor differences between '01 and '04 Gt's

    I have noticed. Specifically, the fuel injectors are different colors. The '01 being orange and the '04 being pink. Now, I have heard that the orange ones are 19 lbs and the pink ones are 24 lbs. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, would not the throttle bodies be different sizes as well...

    I saw it listed on some window stickers on '04 models. Is this a "new" engine or is it still the same 3.8 and they are just calling it 3.9? Just curious because I have never heard of it except for 3.9 v-8 in the Lincoln and Thunderbird.

    These motors are pretty solid. I would bet my bottom dollar that the transmission WILL NOT last much longer. I would go with the warranty for that reason alone.

    t-45 recommended fluid

    I have heard that amsoil is a good product. I filled the rear housing with it when I did the gear swap. No troubles. Question: is anyone using it in their t-45? My 2001 gt currently has 46,000mi and I was considering changing the fluid at 50k and then again at 100k. Amsoil? opinions? thanks.

    E-Brake light came on

    Ford doesn't have warning tabs on their brake pads like GM, so from what I understand, is that when the e-brake like comes on, it is soon time to change the pads- assuming there is no leak in the system of course.

    3.73 vs 4.10 estimated 1/4 mile ET

    I have had both the 3.73 and the 4.10 in my 2001 gt 5 speed. With both gears, you have to shift into 4th near the end of the quarter. I personally feel that the difference in times is nominal, but from experience, I could say that the 4.10 feels like it pulls much stronger with no effects...
