What kind of heads are the '74 351w heads? Are they the rail type or pedestal mount?

Anybody know about ProComp aluminum heads?

The way I feel is that if you're going to fork out a couple hundred dollars for heads and then have to do all kinds of bull**** to make them fit or work right, you may as well just spend a few extra bucks and buy GOOD quality heads that have already been proven.

    Edelbrock performer heads

LOL....if you only knew what I recently found out about Canfield, AFR and a few other heads. Apparently, Canfield supplies the casts for many aftermarket heads, including the AFR's. I know you're going to want proof of that so give me time and I'll dig it up for ya.

    What to do over winter?

That's mainly because of my 3700 stall converter but I want to increase my MPH more. I feel it should be around 106-107mph though

    Edelbrock performer heads

You have to watch piston/valve clearance with twisted wedge heads because the valves are positioned at a different angle(from what I hear) If it was me, I would go with Canfield heads because IMO they flow just as good, if not better than AFR's of the same runner cc

    What to do over winter?

Now that racing is over for winter, I'm thinking what I should do over the winter for next year. I would REALLY like another set of heads but I don't see that happening. Here's what I'm thinking: Buy a new solid lifter cam to better match my converter OR sell my NOS sniper system(new in...

fuel gauge show full all the time

My fuel gauge, in my '88GT, is always pinned past the full mark regardless of amount of fuel in the tank. Is that a faulty sending unit in the tank or something behind the instrument cluster. Also, when the tank is full or almost full, I head a banging in the tank when making turns. Did...

How fast have you run with worked cast iron heads ?

I run 12.85's with mild ported D4 351 heads on my combo below with 1.94/1.60 valves. I've also cut a best 60' time of 1.67

Anyone use 302 long tubes on a 351 swap?

The 302 longtubes WILL hit the steering rack. The 351 headers hug the block a little tighter. I found out the HARD way with shorties!

    7.5 e-brake cable work with an 8.8?

Yep, that's right. I know for a fact.

    Fuel Tank ??

I don't remember seeing a "door" under my back seat in my '88GT when I installed a power junction box under there for my stereo system.

    Fuel Tank ??

Either that shop has complete idiots working for them or your wife lied about the axle drop to scare you out of doing it yourself. If they had to drop the axle to replace the fuel pump, it would cost a hell of a lot more than $185 labor.

    removing headlights from 87-93 mustangs

Someone told me that the corner lights HAVE to come out before the headlights. I was under the impression that I could just remove the headlights. Which is true?

    14.3 again....

Drag slicks work better with a stick. A manual tranny tends to "shock" the street slicks too much and got give max. grip

    removing headlights from 87-93 mustangs

    What size are the nuts?

    14.3 again....

That trap speed is good for about high 13's but I think with those mods you should be trapping higher.

    14.3 again....

Get some drag radials or drag slicks under that thing! All thepower in the world isn't worth a crap if you can't get it to the ground.

    removing headlights from 87-93 mustangs

So it's all going to come out as one piece like that...turn signal, corner lens and all..? Looks like this is one of those jobs that should take 5 minutes and ends up an all day project
