Now that racing is over for winter, I'm thinking what I should do over the winter for next year.
I would REALLY like another set of heads but I don't see that happening.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Buy a new solid lifter cam to better match my converter OR sell my NOS sniper system(new in box w/ warmer and purge kit) and put towards new heads if I can swing the rest of the cash I would need.

I could also keep the nitrous and buy the solid cam.
I need some advice!
For those of you that don't remember, my best E.T last year was 12.85@102mph and a best 60' time of 1.67

Would a solid cam wake my combo up a little bit more?

Not sure what you have done to the rest of the car but camshafts take low end torque away, and put all of your power in the higher part of the RPM's. Going by your MPH, I would guess you have a lot of suspension mods right? I have never used nitrous before, but if you already have the kit, what the heck right?? You might as well install it.

I was trapping at 110 112 basically an all stock car and an 80 dry shot. I'm a little embarrased about my times though w/ a 14.02 and like 2.22 60 not much to brag about.[/QUOTE

I know how you are feeling. My Cobra ran 12.7's@ 116MPH. Other cars the same day at that track were running 11.7's @111-113MPH. I just don't have the tires or the guts to launch my car at 5-6 grand. The "local" dragstrip is 70 miles away from were I live. A tow bill at 35 bucks hook up and 3 bucks a mile is expensive. I am kind of getting away from the strip anyways. I haven't been there since September 2004, so I don't really care anymore.
