    Opening rear hatch without key

Yeah, right under the lock on the outside. I know exactly what your're talkin about. Mine is not a screw...that's all. It's between a 5/32 and 5/16 and none of them fit so it must be metric...

    Opening rear hatch without key

Thanks! I found it but it's not a screw...it's a really small nut that doesn't seem to fit any of my wrenches unless it's metric. I'll get it off one way or the other.

    Opening rear hatch without key

I just looked and don't see any handle. 68torinogt, it has the nylon around the striker post.

    Opening rear hatch without key

Is this "safety release" handle on an '82GT mustang?

    Opening rear hatch without key

Is there anyway to open the hatch from the inside if the key is lost? I don't want to call a locksmith?

Are longtubes really worth the expense and hassle?

Unless I read that chart wrong, I don't see anywhere where they compare the shorties to the longtubes.

Are longtubes really worth the expense and hassle?

Are longtubes really a MUST when it comes to higher rpms and HP? How much of an increase are we really talking about...10-15 maybe? Actually, I always thought that longtubes give more lowend torque and HP while the shorties provided more upper rpm torque and power.(tube size being equal) I...

i know its bench racing but lets try to estimate my et

You're gonna LOVE launching on a sticky track with good tires! Nothing like being able to launch full throttle with little or no tire spin. Yeah, 10's are possible depending on tune, track conditions and weather......you might. I always like to estimate a higher E.T that way I'm not...

    Need H/C/I combo for 11's

I have 2.5 inch flowmaster exhaust with single chamber mufflers and H pipe. I'm outrunning most low 12 second cars to the 1/8 mile. My 1/8 mile is high 7's@85mph

    Need H/C/I combo for 11's

Even at LACR because I hear that track sucks mostly because of it's high altitude.

    Need H/C/I combo for 11's

Nate, you should know who I am. Anyhow, it's NOT lacking power...well..it is but it's not really. It's not completly dialed in yet. I'm still messing with timing and jetting to get the MPH up to where it should be (106-107mph) It will run mid 12's when it's all said and done. Tires are...

    Need H/C/I combo for 11's

I highly disagree with that. It does NOT take a stroked 351 to run solid 11's(for the average racer). My friend has a '79 mustang coupe with a a .030 351w with windsor Sr. heads, solid cam, vr.jr intake, 750dp, 4:56's and 4800 stall and he runs mid 11's with a best of 11.45@119mph I've run a...

    Need H/C/I combo for 11's

It's a little more than that though 'cause you also need to consider gears, converter(if automatic) and tires to make the h/c/i combo all come together. I could probably run high 11's now with just a head swap and uncorked headers.

FYI, a roll cage isn't needed until 11.49 at an NHRA track. With the 150 shot you will definatly be in the low 11's at around 122-124mph so you may as well plan on a cage right now.

    Need H/C/I combo for 11's

I need some input on a heads, cam and intake combo that will get me into the 11's. If I can swing the funds, I am going to change heads, cam and intake this winter....that's a BIG "if". I'm kinda partial to Canfield heads but open for suggestions. I'm thinking Canfields(or similiar)...
