    Advice/help on 302 or 351 build up?

    A 351w is a big gas guziler, seems like I get 100 mpg per full tank, but Im carbed, are you going carbed or fi, I think fi would make a difference but not a big one.

    Yes spraying over primer would defeat the purpose, if this is your first time doing body work I suggest you get some high build primer, that also serves as a scratch filler, you dont need a whole gallon either, if you dont need to prime the whole car and just spots, a quart should be enough.

    if thats what you wanna do, but my only problem with bone yard motors is you dont know what condition there in, with a couple more bucks you can buy yourself a rebuild kit, and build it like you wanna, and get more power out of it, or just fix your head gaskets, save up for a v8.

    junk yard or a performance parts store, (Lokar)even autozone or pep boys sells them, acually, for mines i just used a bike brake cable and not had a problem since, when I first got my kit i cut the cable to short.

    You will need the special deck tool to remove the stock unit, you can purchase one for like autozone or something, also, you dont wanna go cutting wires, just buy a wiring harness for your model stang.
