    Exhaust leak...

    Oh I forgot, when the mechanic dropped the tranny and stuff because he thought the ticking may be in there, he had to take off the X pipe. When he put it all back together it was still tapping, so if it were an exhaust leak wouldn't puttng it back on and tightening everything fixed that?

    Performance Improved heads, people that have the 96-98 heads take them out and put 99 and up heads in they're cars. I imagine it's a lot easier said then done.

    What kinda noise does the car make if it has an exhaust leak. Also, how would the sound differentiate(sp?) while driving?

    Thanks for the reply. I'm going to change the oil and stuff tuesday, and make sure to check the exhaust. Do you guys suggest me using 5w20 this time instead of 5w30?

    Thats a new one to me, believe me I was shocked when the mechanic told me, but I guess you learn something new everyday. I will be checking the exhaust tuesday, I'll bring it into automechanics and lift it up, and change the oil as well. As far as the exhaust thing, it could sorta make sense...

    Clunk sound @ WOT...

    Is it your shifter itself or does it sound like its coming from underneath the car? If it's coming from underneath the car it's most likely normal, they say our cars have some drivetrain slack so sometimes when you're getting on it and you go to shift it'll make a little thump.

    Yeah you shouldn't have a problem with the maxima's and stuff. They're pretty damn quick and will give you a run for your money but if you can drive your car pretty decent they'll be looking at your back bumper. :)
