00 GT O/R H onto 2003 Cobra

I have an O/R H-pipe I'm looking to sell and a guy with a 2003 Cobra wants to buy it, but we have a few questions. I don't remember the make, if I had to guess I would say a MAC but that is just a guess.

1. Will it fit?

2. If it will is the position of the 02 sensors going to be a problem? Will the wires need to be extended?

3. Any problems with the trans being in the way?


Seems like some pipes say they will fit any 99-04 others say all but 2003 cobra. How do we know if it will work, without taking his off and trying to fit it?

When I got my Bassani x pipe it said 04 Mustang GT on the outside
box label. Well me and my muffler shop guy tried to install it and
we could tell something was wrong... you could tell by looking at
it that it wasnt going to work. When I took a look at the plastic bag
of hardware parts in the box it was labeled 03 cobra. So I took it back to Dallas Mustang and they gave me the right one. So I dought it will fit.

Was your fitment issue because of the O2 sensor bung locations? The midpipes made for 04's are a little different because of this. I was under the impression that midpipes were interchangeable between 2 and 4 valve mustangs.

Yea i dont see why they wouldn't be? Other than flange differences which there may or may not be.

i bought a bassani xpipe for my gt that is made for 03/04 cobras. it fits better than the old bassani for gt's i used to have.

Right... the O2 bungs require extensions but Im pretty sure the fitment
was off behind the x where it conects between the mufflers.
