Heres another write up on the great battle between the J-mod and Transgo.

AmericanMuscle.com has recently started to sell the Jmod (complete kit) for $80.00..I emailed them b/c i was not sure if the valve body was already drilled or still needed to be drilled to the necessary specs. They replied by sayng it is a direct bold on and no additional drilling required. I have been told that the J-mod is the way to go for a 4R70W trans on my V6. Has anyone installed one from AmericanMuscle? there are no reviews or comments on the product yet so just seing if anyone has had any comment.

Now the TransGo. TransGo also makes the shift kit for the 4R70W aswell and they offer stages. I have been looking into the Stage 3 that TransGo offers for $180.00 but have not heard or read anywhere of anyone installing it and being happy with the outcome.

Would the TransGo be better then the Jmod in this case? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Brian,

I have read that thread you posted before many of times and understand how it works but i dont have the time to do it my self. Besides i would rather let someone who knows what they are doing work on it just to be on the safe side.
