I took off my cats, and put on an offroad x-pipe on my 95 5.0. Now it's a pain trying to pass inspection. O2 eliminators don't apply to a 5.0, so should I get an
O2 extension? Does it do only what it says?...extend the wire? I feel like this won't do me any good. My only other option seems like puuting my stock pipe and cats back on.

Either find someone that hook you up, or put your cats back on for the sticker. Then swap them out again. O2 extensions are what they say. They extend the O2 wires to mount the sensors farther away.

just cut the driver side wires going to the sensor and put a few extra inches of wire in. thats what i had to do with the shorter h pipe for longtubes and it worked fine, much better than the $75 or whatever advance was gonna charge

What do 02 extenders have to do with an o/r x and passing smog? I dont understand the question...

N/M
Just swap in the stock h-pipe to get your car to pass inspection, and put the o/r pipe back on afterwards

Eddie, I'm glad you figured it out. I still don't understand what the O2 situation is.

Anyhow, I totally agree. Put some cats back on (a couple will suffice for a pure sniffer test; if they do a visual, you might get hassled with anything less than 4 cats).

Good luck.
