The passenger side fog light just recently blew out. Only lasted about 16 months. I did a search on the boards and did not find too much about this topic. Do I have to replace the whole fog light assembly or can the bulb inside be replaced? If so does anyone happen to know the part number of the bulb I will need?

Thanks

Yeah you just need to replace the bulb. Easy if you put it up on ramps so you can see what you are doing. As far as the part number, I don't have a clue, but I would just go to autozone or somewhere like it, and replace both with a sylvania or something brighter than the stock bulbs.

Bulb 899 or 893. Just crawl under there, it's easy to see and replace.

Mine just went out too on my 2002 GT on the passenger side. You would think they would last longer than that. I'm buying these as a replacement. http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs...-1&productId=286300&mediaCode=ZX&appId=566879 They are the same wattage but 50% brighter. After I replace the fog lights, I'm going to get some Sylvania Silverstars for the headlights. The Part Number at http://www.sylvania.com for the headlights is 9007ST.

the bulb is easy to replace, the whole assembly is a pain to change though (I had to change mine last summer after cracking the assembly with a rock)

I just installed the fog lights, and they are so much whiter and brighter! Super White High-intensity Xenon White X-bulbs should be installed from the factory to begin with! They are very cool looking and put the factory bulbs to shame. Instead of getting the Sylvania Silverstars, I am buying the same brand for the headlights.
