ok well i'm ready to take that next step in speed. question is what is the best comprestion reation to run 11psi on a 02 GT. so far i'm looking at keeping the stock crank and putting on some I-beam rods and i'm not sure what brand of pistions i want just yet. also any good blower cams out there. for the rearend i'm looking at the 31 spline detroit truetrax.

really just looking for input on what would be the best bang for the buck to make the entire thing come together.

i would go to seanhyland and get the custom JE pistons they have and their own 300M connecting rods. the crank should be ok but u will be up there pushing it. as far as the compression i prefer a lower compression bout 9.0 :1 u might want to check with some others.

If you're doing the motor get a steel crank. Even if it's a Cobra crank. You don't want it to be the weak link.

true, that would suck snapping a crankshaft. we had a problem with our generator in the desert and its a 750kw v12 diesle engine, and we went to paralell 2 of them together and well they were out of sink and the altenator part turn the engine backwards right when it was going to fire and it snaped the crank right in half. i could find some pictures somewhere if you would like to see how big the engine is. lol let me tell you this much it was a pain in the ass changing it out.

but anyway any sug. on brand of crank to go with, and do you think the I beams will be sufficiant.
