03/04 cobra mid pipes work on our 99-04 gt???

im looking to bid on a 03 cobra x pipe. but i heard mixed reviews. they work from some and some they use diff. part numbers. its a bassani if that matters.thanks matt!

the heads on a 4V are wider than a 2V and there headers or exhaust manifolds are different

well i know the 99/01 mid pipes work on 99-04
and so do 96-98
4v work on 96-98 gt.
so why wouldnt a 03/04?

An X-pipe designed for the 03/04 Cobra will fit a 99-04 GT/Cobra. Go to any exhaust company that sells X/H pipes and look up the part numbers... they are the same. The only think you may need are O2 sensor extensions.

You sure U.M? I thought the 99/01 cobra midpipes were the same as the 99+ GTs, but i thought the 03/04 cobra midpipe was different adn wouldn't fit. Maybe im wrong.

Checked it myself on 3 different manufactures websites. Feel free to look at the link I provided.

well i know bassani which is the type ofx pipe it is has its own listing for the 03cobra/mach1 and then its own number for 99-04 mustanggt??

ok.. well i did some more looking on bassani. com and found this http://www.bassani.com/xy.php?manufacturer=5
the xpipe im looking at number is 46033 and is for 2003 cobra/mach1
then i see a listing for a 99-03/gtmach1 auto and that number is 46003. and then for a 2004 gt/mach1 auto you add a couple numbers at the end? i heard something different with the os locations?? and 46993 is then number that calls for my car? gt/cobra"99-01" hm im gonna email them to see what compltley different.. thanks guys.. matt

It appears as if Bassani does have a different P/N listed for Cobra/Mach vs GT. Why I don't know because the other manufactures use the same mid pipe for all 99-04 platforms.

I just put a stock h-pipe from my buddy's 04 cobra on my 02 GT, so I know that much will fit.
