03/04 Cobra Motor in a 96 Cobra???

How hard would it be to put a 03/04 Cobra Motor into a 96 Cobra? What all would need to be changed? Id love to have the performance of a 03/04 Cobra in my '96 Mystic. Would like to get me a 04 Mystic Cobra, but I dont have the money for that haha

The Terminator motor will bolt right in, the easiest thing to do would be use your existing computer and have it tuned for thenew motor. Your best bet would be to find a complete motor as hunting down the small parts will drive the price way up... good luck !!

Yes, I do know someone that has some of these motors for sale! Would anything else be needed besides the comp. chip gettin reprogrammed any other parts!

03 Engine Swap

Actually, you need the entire wiring harness and gauge cluster along with the new PATS module and EEC. I did the swap in my 99 last year.

That is true if you want to use the 03/04 computer, however the 96 computer can run the motor if its retuned. The GT's can do the same thing...

Which would be better to get a brand new 03/04 cobra chip? Or jus to reprogram the 96 chip. I know the reprogramming would be lots cheaper, but would the 03/04 chip give me a better tune?
