03 cobra superchager oiling

I have a buddy who has a 03 cobra and he's not sure if the factory supercharger runs off of the engine oil or if it's self contained like mine. I feel pretty sure it uses the engine oil but I've never really had a good look at the car, he won't drive it enough, anyway he asked me and I said I would give it a quick check tonite.

The stock Eaton and the aftermarket Whipple & KB superchargers all use a self contained oiling system. There is a fill & drain plug on the front of the Eaton.

o.k. U.M. keep calm. Go to SVT Performance. They have a great write up with pictures on how to change the oil in a Eaton . Just did mine about a month ago. Do not buy your supercharger oil from Ford . Go to your local Pont. dealer. Ford wanted $22.00 for 4 oz. and you need 8 oz. . Pont charged $8.00 per 4 oz. bottle.

Thanks I'm not that familiar with the newer cobra motors, he gets his serviced at a local oil change shop, I guess he better change his supercharger oil huh? Anyway thanks for the help
