03cobra & 01cobra halfshafts any difference

I heard that the 03-04 Cobra and 01 Cobra Halfshafts were the same. Is this true they are both 31 spline.

They are both 31 spline (and thus interchangeable), but the 03 shafts are stronger.

the 03 half shafts are also much thicker, hence their added strength.

Thought the 01 half- shafts were 28 spline like the 99 IRS. I just swapped out my whole IRS for an 04 unit, and still grenaded a halfshaft on my first pass. Here comes a $1000 set of stage 2 halfshafts

01's are 31 spline 99's were 28

However, if swapping 03 shafts into your 01 make sure to get the complete shaft(s)
The inner CV joints are different on the 03's than the 01's
