I just picked up my car, after my sq install.
It's all stock aside of weld in flowmasters.

It dynoed in at 301 RWHP with a conservative tune. It's my daily driver.

Stock, my GT was 260ish flywheel, right?

If it's an increase of about 100 to the wheels, that's in range for what I wanted. I didn't want to overdo it, just get some kick.

I know there are many other mods I can do to increase RWHP, but this is all I want for now... driveability and budget.

Does 301 RWHP sound about right?

Thanks!

how much did you pay for everything?

A few freaking bucks...:Damnit:

Blower kit from Vortech....3800
Install with dynotune and superchip....1000
LOF (at ship price, needed after tapping...70

Bottom line 4870.00

It hurts, but I know I could go 2k for a few 20-30 rwhp.

Still, I want the numbers on the dyno to sound right to you guys. I trust your opinions... :nice:

Sounds about right if it has a conservative tune, like you said, and is the non-intercooled. Now as your budget allows, you can add intake and exhaust. That will help with hp and doesn't really affect the driveability. Keep checking the for sale boards here and other places. You can get some good deals.
Only thing that really counts is, are you happy?
That answer usually turns to no at some point and the modding continues.:D
Get some vids up!!

Who did the tune? Just curious as I am looking for a SCT tuner in our area.
You could really help the HP with full exhaust and a free flowing intake tube and filter. I'd bet you'd see 25 RWHP (if not more) with these mods.
Got pics?
I'd be happy with a conservative tune at 300HP. On a stock bottom end, clutch and rear end you need to stay rather conservative until you can invest in these areas. Congrats on the mods!!!

For now, yeah... and thanks for responding. Tonight is daddy's night with the kids, but after the drop at school tomorrow, I'll test out that Vortech.

I just want to know that I'm not far off target. Some of the 400-450 numbers that guys are posting freak me out.
Are those rear wheel numbers, based on stock internals, gears and exhaust?

Just knowing that I'm about right with the numbers makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the input.

I got it done at Ramsey's Performance, just off Hillsborough and Veterans. They do play fair, but I questioned the 300rwhp.

They have a dynojet for the tune. IMO they're good. I just shuddered at the 400-450 RWHP. Seemed high for stock internals.

Yep, 400-450 RWHP on stock internals is living on the edge. My wife took her 01 GT to Ramsey's about a year ago (for a Diablo retune) and they treated her well (but that always seems to be the case...they treat her like a queen...so I let her do the initial discussion and 'flirt-to-get-what-you-want' talk. Works for us!

450 rwhp would be a bit hard on stock internals. 400 rwhp from a blower with all the regular bolt ons is even good. there are plenty of guys that have blowers on this site and all the bolt on's and are laying down 380 rwhp. that is with the average amount of boost 8-9 psi. there some who get 400, but that is with all the other boltons. 400 is about the limit with stock internals.

yours numbers seem about right if you have absolutly nothing else done to the car. if you get some bolt ons youll be in the 330-350 range.
