I was just curious. Do any of you guys know how fast an 04 cobra would run with some minor mods such as exhaust, pullies, and cold air intake?

Yeah, 11's.

Seriously. Pulley, CAI, exhaust and diablosport tune with a good driver can threaten the 11 second barrier.

a friend of mine ran an 11.013 @ 126.51 on stock boost.

He is running a K&N Air Kit, Steeda Idler Pulley, Stock TB, Stock Eaton SC, and a full exhaust.

Made 440hp and 419tq SAE Corrected.

They are cheap and easy to mod, but you still fight with the IRS. I still am looking for an 03 04 to get. I will get one....I just wait. I have gotten every car I have ever looked for by just waiting.

High 15's.

Most cars with minor mods run high 11's to low 12's.

Crazy. Look at that trap speed. Everytime I think I'm "over" the 03/04 Cobra I see crap like this.

The Mach 1 has the same engine as the 96-99/01 Cobra but with slight differences. Aluminum block as opposed to iron block in the 03/04 Cobra. A blown Mach will run hard but 18-20k for a Mach + 3-5k for a blower kit and supporting mods plus installation costs runs about as hard as a very mildly done Cobra. $2500 in mods to a cobra that you get for $25k runs 11's. And you never have to open it up or add anything special, you are totally working with what the factory gave you. Add a Kenne Bell to that Cobra...and all hell breaks loose. 600+ hp and you never have the valve covers off.

I love how simple it is to make insane power with these cars with absolutely factory driveability. Pulley swap, tune, CAI, and full exhaust and you are near 500 hp. That can all be done for about 2g's. Nice

Yeah, I like the Mach 1's alot but for the money the Cobra is right there within reach. I ran a bolt-on Mach 1 and they are pretty f-ing quick no doubt.

the Mach 1 is a revised version of the 99-01 Cobra engine. It has the same aluminum block & forged crank, but it has higher compression @ 10:1:1 as opposed to the 99-01 Cobra's 9:85:1, & also runs the higher flowing 03-04 Cobra heads. Machs arent as fast as the 03-04 Cobra's, but will definately hold there own against stock Cobra's, & will takedown your typical 96-01 Cobra's... The only weak point in the Machs are the rods & pistons which supposedly arent very good past 500 rwhp...

on a stock tire? no it doesnt. A solid 12 second car that hooks will win every time on the street.
