My '04 sounds louder with the stock exhaust than other GTs I hear. Did ford change anything at all around '03-'04?

I got a 04 GT and my buddies thought I changed the exhaust. But its all stock. I never had any other stang so I wouldn't know but they did.

I know when I got my 03 it was louder than other "stock" stangs I came across. It probably just depends on what parts Ford had at the time. They probably use mufflers from several vendors, and one vendors mufflers are probably louder than the others.
My future brother in law just got a 04 GT and his sounded deeper and louder than mine did stock. I thought it was just in my head but my best friend has a 04 Mach 1 and he asked me what kind of exhaust Jeremy put on hi GT. I told him none it was stock, I even looked under the car. We put them side by side and the GT had a deeper tone but the Mach was just a hair louder. I was really suprised.

My '02 sounded louder than my buddy's '99 when I first got it a year ago (when they were both stock)... Maybe it has something to do with being broken in and getting quieter or whatever
