My car has been idling stupid high, somewhere between 1500 and 2000, it will kick up the RPMs between shifts as well. Then the check engine light came on. It threw 2 codes, both related to the TPS. One was low voltage to the sensor the other indicated a bad sensor all together. I replaced the TPS and the problem seemed better for a few days though it idled about 1100, its been about 220 miles since I changed it and its doing the same crap again. Any thoughts?

IAC valve likely pooched.

Anyone touched the throttle linkage/adjustment screw lately? Any "throttle body cleaning" done to the car?

Did the code for the TPS return after replacement?

Nothing has been touched or cleaned or messed with. I didnt reset the code after I changed it. I assumed it would fix the problem and the light would go out when the computer ran its diagnosis at whatever interval it does it.

I just had a similar issue with my 03 GT. I was getting codes related to the IAC so I replaced that. The high idle continued so I removed and cleaned the MAF sensor. This actually made the idle condition worse. I resorted to taking the car to my local mechanic. They found the PCV hose was collapsed and needed replacing. This finally resolved my idling issue. Just something to think about.
