04 mustang gt fuel pump replacment

Quick question I just bought a fuel pump replacment from autozone but when I removed my old pump it's got two holes on the bottom not counting the pin hole all pumps have whats the extra hole for??

Oh I see... Was there a cap on both holes or just one? The delphi/spec/ford pumps do not have 2 holes. I would double check to make sure if its for your car and if it is then It may just have a extra one but one should be a for a filter.

I just bought a replacment fuel pump but...it doesn't have the extra hole and I can't find any other fuel pump that looks like this one

Could be a cut out to fit snug in the pump assembly idk lol.. I've dropped the pump out so many times and can't remember.
