I was in a local ford dealer looking at a ford GT supercar that was for sale when i noticed a red 05 mustang gt sitting on the lot for sale. I already had a black 05 on order from this same dealer so i went and found my salesman that i always work with and after 4 hours i drove off in my brand new 05 mustang gt!! I dont have any pics but im sure everyone has seen enough of them by now! if you want to see pics let me know and i will get some tommorw.

Until you post a scan of your bill of sale and at least 10 pics, I refuse to belive that you (or anyone else) actually owns a 2005 Mustang!

Seriously, though, congrats on your new Mustang, I just couldn't resist the above comment given all the BS going on about 1/4 mile runs.

about the 1/4 times, i am heading to the strip this weekend and plan to post some slips and photos of me crossing the line to hopefully put some of that to rest! I dont really have any credability around here so im sure i will still get the ol'

nope i got it a covert in austin tx. It is the bright red, i havent even looked at the paint code so i dont know what it is called but it is the bright one not the darker one. it is a gt premium with iup and 17in wheels and thats it. Its exactly what i wanted, i didnt want the shaker 1000 or the side airbags or anti theft so it was really the perfect car for me

CAT99 - This was my first car from covert since i actually work at another dealer, but i will prolly buy all of my cars there from now on!! The price was the best i found in austin or dallas and the finance guy busted his ass to get me financed at %5.9 which is pretty good considering im 20 and buying a $30k car! I dont know who you work with at covert but i was working with randy ( dont remember the last name ) and he did everthing he could to get me in this car so i would say they were excellent!

1bad99 - I have the car for a little over 24 hours now and it has 370 miles on it so it will probably be at about 500 before i get to the strip and hammer on it!

Just looking sticker on it was 156,000 but they were taking bids on it for 7 days so im sure it will be well over sticker by then. It was only day 2 when i was there and it was up to 300,000 which is just a little out of my price range.

Ah, Torch Red... Very nice! What color is the interior? Are you in the DFW area or Austin? I haven't seen a TR in person yet, but that is the color I would get. Congrats and enjoy!

first off, congrats on your purchase. but you paid 30k ? Wow that's way too much for a mustang. IMO. Sorry but I guess I'm still one of those people that refuses to even pay sticker for any car. Good Luck with it.

30k was sticker but they are getting 5k over around here. I could have bought one for dplan if it was ordered for me but i really didnt want to wait 8-12 weeks so i just paid sticker and drove it home that day
