So, I have a bit of a problem and it's really bothering me. Over the past year, my camshaft position sensor has thrown a code about it malfunctioning. I later found out that my alternator is bad. I had the intentions of getting it replaced but time and money has always been an issue. Granted, it never gave me any problems other than annoying me with the check engine light. At the beginning of February this year, we had a really hard snow. I noticed one morning that I had a slick wet spot underneath my front bumper on the passenger side of the car. It did not have an odor to it and was kinda clear looking. Worried, I checked all my fluid levels and everything was good. I even had the oil changed a month prior to this occurance. Now, my vehicle has gotten to where I lose power and it just dies randomly when I go for a drive. What is my problem? Please help...

If you know your alternator is bad...obviously I would look there first.
Also for the slick wet spot, any chance your windshield washer reservoir froze and busted open?
