I just purchased a used 2005 roush stage one from my local ford dealer. 25,000 miles. Before I picked the car up I had ford install genuine Roush cold air intake and Roush off road mufflers.
Do I need to have my car tuned now? The roush air intake claims no tune is needed.
Please advise.

There are some no tune CAI's but they either offer minimal power gains or they really do need a tune because it will run lean. You will probably hear a cool induction sound and deeper exhaust but won't see the 15rwhp without a good tune to maximize the extra air the new CAI provides over stock. I'd worry about running lean with a CAI and no tune.

Thanks for the info.
I will take it to a local Mustang shop for a tune.

The car has 25k miles on it.
When I go to the shop, what do I ask for? Flash tune? complete tune-up? What should this cost approximately?

I appreciate any advice I can get on this.

1st off you need a hand held tuner such as an SCT SF3 or equal, you will need to take it to a reputable shop with a dynomometer so they can custom tune it. Or you can get one via email.
