07 Auto Trans issue

Looking for some input... I have an 07 GT with 70k miles. When I brake hard and make my turn it feels like the trans just caught up and jumped into gear. Hard to explain but its almost like it slipped and then engaged hard and my foot wasn't on the pedal. Anyone had this??
