My 07 GT - has mutha thumprs NSR nstalled new - problem is they 'ramp' up (over rev's high ) when the air is on - I've cleaned the throttle body - the tune is a canned tune from Brenspeed - but they won't 'service' these cams anymore - Has anyone else dealt with this issue?- can I tune this out - I've been trying to configure this - but is it something to do with the WOT setting? etc.. any help would be great -

I don't like to fool with the tuner (I'm a novice) so I put up with it and usually drive w/no A/C .....should I get it professional tuned on a dyno -problem is they usually want you to buy a whole new tuner and tune - I just have this one problem -

it's usually pretty clean when taken apart

Its not a mech problem, when ever you turn AC on in any car the computer kicks idle higher to make up from load of the compressor. Needs to be tuned out.

How much of a higher rev is it doing?? More details are gonna be needed to get more accurate responses. It will need a tune with all you done anyway... especially the cams... but how high is it "over-revving"?

thanks Tomh - it has a canned tune - If idle is around 1200 - it jumps up to around 4500 - high sustained rev's (like it's stuck on 4500) - the only way to 'kill' it - is to come to a complete stop - sometimes - I try to double pump the accelerator - and it may 'kick' down - but for the most part it does not - it just jumps up and stays there - I should document it - exact - will have more info tomorrow -

ok... yes, that's a lot better info to work with... and I agree with Sparta... a good tune, probably a custom tune would be best, might/should clear that up... option B is the AC eliminator pulley...

Thanks guys - well I just moved to viva Las Vegas like 4 months ago - had to switch out the off-road H-pipe - plus drive it w/a suspended plate - b/c we switched states and insurance to Nevada - then 'pray' that I drove it enough miles to get it to Pass these God awful emissions here in Vegas - no "lee way boy " - really no way to cheat ( this car is driven 'maybe' 2500 miles a year (only has 23k on it) - at least I was smart enough to get (2) two tunes - one w/CO2's on and the cats on - the other - well the other is all out -(It passed) - I know - I could get a high flow catted H-pipe - but I'm too cheap (They are still like $5/7 Hundo) and I love the sound that the open H offers - anyway - I guess I'll have to find a new tuner with a dyno - there is Shelby America - basically down the street - I'll probably post or research a tuner here in town and just spent the big bucks and get it fixed correctly - anyway thanks again for the help - oh a big no on the A/C eliminator - 110 degree's sometimes here
