I don't post much but the pricing of the new shelby and the way the dealers are marking these things up is making me SICK!! What ever happened to just walking in and buying a car for MSRP. It looks like the new shelby will sell for at least 20,000 or higher over MSRP. I was looking to own one of these cars but it looks pretty grim right now. This subject was probably covered already so excuse me for being late but it reminds me so much of what was going on when the 03 cobra was on the dealers lots. It just pisses me off!!!

Yes it's sick but not much can be done about it. Supply and demand will dictate the prices, and most dealers fortunate enough to get a Shelby will probably get their asking price. Some dealers were even trying that BS when the 05 GTs came out. :notnice:

Since no 07 GT 500's have been delivered to dealers yet all we can do is speculate on what the dealer mark up may or will be. Remember that these cars are being offered through all Ford dealers and are not exclusive to SVT-only authorized dealerships. We'll just have to wait and see once they hit the showrooms.

I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but I spoke to my local dealer here in Northern Virginia and they have asked for 50 GT500's. I guess Ford laughed, and told them 3-4 this year. They are not going to let the sales people touch them as the have lots of existing customers asking them for these cars. They (the owner) says that they are struggling with 2 or 3 times MSRP!! No way the are gonna sell them for MSRP + $20k when the can get $80+ each.

GT are selling for 33K here STILL, if they are in high demand I would hate to see the price war for GT500 !!

My bro paid only 34k for his 03 Cobra in 2002.

35K is WAy to much for a stock GT...........
