Every season, I usually go through my 07 and detail everything, this year is a little different - somehow (1) one way or the other I warped the rotors - so the brakes are in the mix, started Memorial Day weekend w/the front.....thought I would share some pictures - already changed the oil / filter at this point -

Cleaning takes up most of my time -

Always clean and detail the rims

I usually wax the rims - apply factory paint marks

Wow, you could eat off of the back of those wheels. Mine? Not so much.
You do the rears yet? Those rear calipers kicked my ass a few weeks ago.

Thanks Hurricane - Not yet - that's up next - although I heard you take a needle nose and back down the rear pistons - and that the rears were 'supposed' to be easier??

I dunno maybe 2010's are different but basically you have to turn the piston while pushing it in.
You'll buy the $12 tool at the parts store, realize it doesn't fit, go back, exchange it for the $14 tool, realize it doesn't work for , then go back and rent the big set they recommend in the first place. Even then it's still a pain in the ass. My rear driver's-side piston just didn't wanna go back in there.

Just do yourself a favor and rent the set or if you're really lucky the '07s maybe didn't have these torture devices out back.

Thanks again - yeah I figured it would be a pita - I'll try the needle nose and then like you, rent the kits .......still working on the front section, this is not my daily driver so I dump stabilize in the tank and take my time, I just take the pictures to let my family and friends back home know how much OCD I have with this 07' (I bought it new) and how nutty I am about keeping it clean and detailed - detailing the other frt rim (has to be waxed since the rims are polished) - then clean / 'clay' bar / buff / 2 coats of wax on the front bumper (easier since it's up on jacks)

Not really that bad once you get the hang of it. I used needle nose pliers since the "special" tool just never fit quite right.

Nice work! I'm guessing you're also on the AGO (Auto Geek Online) Forum too?
