Has anyone had a 1/4 tank of gas left and then suddenly it drops to empty and says 3miles left with all the dash lights turning red?? This really freaked me out until I immediately went to get gas and it only took about 9 Gallons???to fill her up???

I believe there is a fix for this thru your dealer.

Yes-there is a TSB on this and the fuel module has to be replaced. The TSB is 10-21-3 and was issued on 101910. Warranty will cover all expenses of replacement.

When was your Mustang made? What month and year?

What I don't understand is how defective fuel modules can still be installed almost three months after the TSB. My Mustang was made on 111810 and has the same problem.

Hi phoneman91,

Have you had your fuel gauge concern been diagnosed at the dealer? Please PM me with your VIN, contact information, mileage, and servicing dealer information. I would like to discuss options and work to resolve your issue.

what to look for?

What should I look for from my dealer before I go in for this service so I dont get jerked around too! What questions should I ask to make sure it is done right the first time???

All I have to do is give my service writer the TSB# and tell him mine is doing whatever the TSB relates to. He asks a couple quick questions and I am off to the rental on them and my car is worked on. Pick it up when done and go have fun.....
