well wondering some things to try at the first outing with the auto...warm the tires up? they are kdws street wheels? lower tire pressure? if so to what? and just accelerate from a dead stop or try and hold a rev w/o spinning the tires? and should i manually shift?

Well as I do not have an auto I can say too much about it but, with street tires just spin the over a little bit to get the dirt off warming them up will do very little if anything. as for the launch, its depends on your stall, im guessing you have the stock one so I am not sure on the rpm of the stock one but you should hold the brake down as hard as you can at the line and rev it a bit then wait for the lights dump the brake and floor it. that will give you the best launch with an auto.

If I remember right, the stock converter is about 1600.

depends how much power your making.. if the car is a bolt on street tire car, just dust the tires off and go, dont mess around with manual shifting and stall braking, just ease off with enough throttle and go. Just a waste of time for maybe an extra tenth of a tenth
