I just installed some Crane 1.7 roller rockers, they are the same rocker used on the cobra engines, anyways I started the car up and they are noisy as hell on the pass side, should I have modified the baffle in the valve cover for these or could it be something else?
I got it solved, just took a hammer to the baffle and got it to clear, wasnt sure if removing the baffle was a good idea or not, thanks for the replies!
Take out the oil baffle,3 screws hold it in place.
I`m surprised you got the valve cover on with the baffle in place.
On my car the valve cover would not lay flat on the head at the baffle end until I took it out w/Crane 1.7`s.
Those crane 1.7's (cobra RR's) take a different lenght pushrod. I found out that the hard way, only crane makes them, I know this from experience, call them.
90mustanggt - So the stock ones will not work. Mine looked stock when they came out. Nothing special looking about them. I thought they used the stock 6.250" length?
