1" PHENOLIC SPACER CLEARENCE?

I have a stock intake and hood. I was wondering if a 1" space would fit under my hood. Anyone have this set up? Thanks for your help.

I don't have that setup however (comma) the one inch spacer is too tall for the stock hood on the fox bodies. I do not know about the S95s. Question: Why a spacer? It's not worth the effort for the 1-3 hp gain (if that) you're going to get.

The most you will be able to fit under the stock hood (using stock intake as reference) is a 1/2" spacer. You will have less clearance with some aftermarket intakes, as some are taller than stock.

i always thought my gt-40 was taller then the stock one...and the 1" fits

From what I remember, from an article that showed upper intake heights, the GT-40, Cobra, and the stock intake where within 1/4" of each other.

I would prefer not to have the intake too close to the hood. I had just enough clearance with the 1/2" spacer. I never did measure the clearance, but I knew that that setup didn't hit.
