2 Buddies of mine, an 01 cobra and an 06 GT Vert both want to pitch in to buy an Xcal2. The thing is, if we buy it, will we be able to use the Xcal2 on all three of our cars to the fullest extent?
In other words are you limited to 1 car with the Xcal2?
You could get tunes for all 3 cars but only one of you can have the tune in. The way it works is when you upload the tune to one car, it takes the stock tune from that car and downloads it to the Xcal2 before uploading the custom tune. Because it only accepts one stock tune to be downloaded on to it at a time, if you tried plugging it into another car after already putting a custom tune on another car it wont work since the stock tune from the 1st car is still on the Xcal2.
This is SCT's way of making everyone buy an Xcal2. Diagnostic Checking is just about the only thing you can do with for all 3 vehicles with 1 Xcal2.
