I'm 16 years old and I'm getting ready to build a 89 GT. For an engine I currently have a 351w that's bored .30" over. I have been doing alot of research and stumbled upon the 427 stroker. The kit is on Ebay for about $700, it comes with pistons, connecting rods and a crank. I also plan on putting a little bit of nitrous on it. My goal is around 10.5 seconds, but low 11's would work. If it pulls the wheels that would to. The car has the 3:73 Posi. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the 427w. According the dyno sheets it should be around 550hp on motor. If you have any advice I would love to hear from you. I'm young and need all the help I can get. Thanks

I would stay far away from a $700 ebay stroker kit. A good H/C/I and some good driving will get you into the 11s with a 351.

I agree with them /\ You're gonna have to save some money for drivetrain and suspension mods too to handle the power you will be making. Everyone wants a 10 second car when they're 16, but it costs A LOT more money than you think.

Thanks for your help. Honestly if the car can break 11's and I can drive it with out any problems on pump gas I'll be very happy. Thanks for the advice

no disrespect, at 16 500 horses is a lot. My advice is start working a solid suspension with 13 sec motor and build power once you can safely put it to the ground.
Good luck.
