1000hp with 347

depends on which procharger, but you would be better off going with a turbo for that kind of power

My thoughts exactly, it would have to be one hell of a big charger and big motor to make that sort of power. For sure keep us posted when you embark on this journey, it will be a good one.

You can make a 1000HP with a 320ci motor and a F1R procharger, I'd prefer a 331 over that 347 with a custom piston to give you a little more on the top land.

My 360ci combo with my F1R will make over 1000RWHP easily....25psi

Rick do you deal with stock blocks at all for your customers? I want a reliable 500 engine HP and dont see the point in a Dart block.....unless I was drag racing for prizes or money or didnt want to buy a house. Is it possible to be safe at that level with a stock block?

Also did the new Boss block come out yet?

If you use a S/C instead of a turbo just think you are throwing away 300rwhp

True the blower does take power to drive but there is no lag... To make those kind on numbers a 88mm turbo would be my choice. We can argue the turbo vs blower thing all day long...

I do everything from stock rebuilds to class motors....I'll even build a Chevy or import..lol www.rnhperformance.com

A reliable 500hp will be on borrowed time in a stock block. The new BOSS block is not out yet, but at the price I have heard tossed around I would just look at the DART Sportsman.

Why not just put twins on it?

People with turbos have to run lower displacement motor's. A better word is there more restricted than a guy running N/A or with nitrous or even with a supercharger. Depending on what class your racing. They have a write up about this over at turbo mustangs(not in the forums).

thats just b/c on a highrt dispacement motor there is more rotating mass, making it harder for the turbos or anythin for that matter to turn it, doesn't mean it would be better without a turbo..
