12-sec Mustang under 2500?

For all of those people that decided to quote me, thanks. Now, I realize that my statement may be vague, and that is why you interpreted it the way you did, but what I am referring to is purchasing a vehicle and making it run 12's for only $2500. This would include the price of the car and what you need to make it run 12s. I was not referring to buying a vehicle and then using $2500 to run 12s. I believe that if you look at it the way I did, you *may* see that my statement is more valid. If you still think I am really that stupid, as dmarco_4u seems to, well then that's your opinion.

1. 4.10 or 4.30 gears
2. slicks - if your rear can hold, but your gonna need a 6000 rpm dump
3. some bolt ons
4. little suspension
5. practice

Should be close to hgih 12's if not than you got low 13's

Josh

close call, I just shattered my rear end with a 4500 drop

Jay, that's incredible. You engine mods probably added only 20 rwhp, yet your are able to run a 12.8 quarter mile. Congratulations! What do you think is the greatest factor(s) in improving your time?

My car was dynoed at 249rwhp and 292rwtq a week before running my best time. Getting the car able to launch at 5000rpm and good driving probably were the greatest factors.

I agree with the others concentrate on your suspension and of course gears. You can probably take off your front sway bar as well to help drop down your ass end that way the DR's can connect. Little exhaust work also with a good tune and you should be fine.
