12k, are you serious? Next thing you know you'll have a dragon sticker running down the side of your car. Congrats on having purple headlights; anything higher than 6k = loss of light

Here's a pic of color range for everyone's reference:

12k = FAIL.

I had 8k in my '02 Z71 and i wished i had went with 6k's. Even the 8's had a bit too much of a blue tint to them. When you do get the 12k's working you might as well hang a maglite out the window on wet roads.

Umm, you guys are not helping, if he wants purple lights, then he should have purple lights. If its not the ground, then its the wiring, the highs and lows operate on two different scheme of things.

You say you've "tryed (sic) switching the wiring to about every combination" - did it not come with instructions? You didn't get a plug and play kit? I've purchased three cheap plug and play kits off of EBay for two Mustangs and our Pathfinder. Say what you will about cheap EBay HID kits, but in my experience they work great. While I'm sure there is a difference between these and $kits costing several hundred dollars, I doubt anyone would notice a huge difference except in your wallet. I paid less than $70 for each kit - that's complete kits, ready to plug & play. No wiring to fool with.
Sorry but I've gotta barf on 12K - that's just rice looking.

Actually 3,000K HIDs are WAY brighter than 12,000K HIDs.

The higher the temp, the less bright they are.

Well, I'm all for doing whatever you want to your car but, no confedarate flags with or vanity plates featuring confedarate flags, yea if you were a true rebel you would have no licsense plate or registration sticker saying that you pay your union taxes; go figure, spoilers that look like they were on cruise ships, body kits that look like it took off vertically from Roswell, New Mexico; you can't outrun ugly so put it in your engine; Fake badges GT. Saleen, Steeda, Cobra your not fooling the real Mustang owners, etc. The lights I can deal with. Sorry:OT: a bit!

Oh yea, you get your lights workin'?

My friend has 12k HID's in his A4 for his high-beam set, and they actually don't look bad, and they are bright as hell! Trust me, I've driven in front of him before when he was messing around. I'll see if I can get a pic.
